We are excited to share the latest updates about our brand new Indonesia campus, upcoming admission deadlines, new program fees for 2025, and scholarship updates.
Western Sydney University Indonesia Campus is Open!
Our first semester in Indonesia has begun! On September 2nd, we officially welcomed our inaugural students at our modern campus in Pakuwon Tower, Surabaya. We are incredibly proud to offer Australian degree programs in Surabaya. Students can now pursue popular courses such as Data Science, Business (Applied Finance), Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering (starting in 2025) here.
But the innovation doesn't stop there, ourLaunch Pad technology incubator will empower students with entrepreneurial skills, becoming a vibrant center for research commercialization and industry transformation.
In the first week of the semester, our students have already achieved remarkable accomplishments. Five of our outstanding students participated in their first university competition, part of the International Cultural Festival organized by UNESA, called the College Combat event. They secured third place and won the title of 'Most United Team'—what an incredible achievement!
Our Indonesia campus is also optimistic about attracting international students, with two students from Pakistan and the Philippines already enrolled at our Indonesia campus.

2025 Application and Admission Deadline Changes
Your students still have time to secure their admission spots for 2025, but the application deadline is approaching. To offer students more flexibility, we have extended the deadline.
Here is a quick guide for the first semester (Fall) of 2025 for overseas students (applications for the first quarter (Q1) of 2025 are now closed), but applications for the second quarter (Q2) remain open.
*Special conditions apply: ForCambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines applicants, the following deadlines apply:
For students within Australia, applications and acceptance of offers will remain open until the eve of the semester start.
Don't miss out: Accept and enroll now
Please encourage your students to accept their offer letters as soon as possible to avoid missing the above deadlines, which helps ensure their spots. It also allows them to prioritize course selection based on personal preferences on Monday, January 20th.
Here are the steps in the process:
- Accept the offer
Receive the Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE)
- Apply for a visa and allow a full 12 weeks for visa processing
- Activate the Western Sydney University account
Register for courses through MyStudentRecord (MySR)

Changes to International Student Scholarships
If you missed our previous email on September 30th about scholarship changes, we recently updated the eligibility criteria for our undergraduate and postgraduate multi-year scholarships.
