8Month10Day to8Month18Day is Australia's annual "Science Week".During this week, the University of WollongongUOWalsowill host a number of activities related to "Science Week".Experts from various scientific disciplines will share their passion for science atUOW's Wollongong campus, Innovation Campus, andShoalhavencampus.From the application of flies in forensic science to lasers in space, from mangroves to metabolic diseases, from robots to reptiles, every participant can find a topic they love.Here are some key events of this Science Week, students, mark them down:

Main highlights of the exhibition:
A science exhibition themed "Ice and Fire Extravaganza" presented by UOW Science Space (flames, liquid nitrogen, etc.)
Dragon Training - Mobile Zoo Reptile Display (monitor lizards, crocodiles, snakes, turtles, frogs, and other small lizards)
Bucephalus Project -- LEGO robot building and competition
Shoalhaven Astronomers' Talk, Observatory Tour, and how to use a solar telescope to view the sun
Medical and Nursing School Tour, Activities, Health Checks, Simulations.
Fly a virtual plane on the NAPS flight simulator
Visit the Industry 4.0 Center Makerspace, build anything with the materials there

Susan Coppersmith FAA FAIP, a distinguished theoretical physicist from the University of New South Wales, will give a national tour lecture as the 2024 Australian Institute of Physics' Annual Woman Physicist.Professor Coppersmith's lecture will cover a wide range of physical systems, from humble grains of sand to cutting-edge quantum dots paving the way for future quantum computers.

Event Details:
On the Duck Pond Lawn at UOW, ABC Illawarra Radio will broadcast the Mornings program hosted by Nick Rheinberger and special guest Lindsay McDougall.
Broadcast pre-recorded segments of UOW scientists in the lab, including Nick's visit to the Thermal Physiology Lab and the Flies and Forensic Lab. Live interviews on the radio cover topics from DNA to nanoparticles, from brain cancer to coral reefs, from cardiovascular and metabolic diseases to herbicides
