1. New International Student Undergraduate Package Graduate Degree

International students are now eligible to apply for Graduate Degree Packages (GDPs), which are combined admissions for undergraduate degrees and professional graduate courses. 2. Accommodation and Insurance Updates

Bupa OSHC Health Insurance Rate Update

Bupa OSHC rates have changed since June 30, with single rates increasing by 2%, and couple and family rates increasing by 6-6.5%. Bupa Success policies ordered through the university will maintain the current lower rates until August 11, 2024.

The online admission agreement website will be closed on Monday, August 12, while updating the OSHC rates. The new rates will appear in the online admission agreement and will apply upon reopening. Please note that the university can only order OSHC after the offer letter has been accepted.

3. Important Admission Updates (Undergraduate)

1 Ontario Secondary School Diploma Admission Update

Effective immediately, for the first semester of 2025, the university will only accept Ontario Secondary School Diploma transcripts submitted by applicants who have completed their diploma at the following public schools and international private schools.

• Public schools
• International schools

All transcripts will beverified directly with the school or school district by the University of Melbourne team before issuing an offer letter (if eligible).

2 New Guaranteed Pathway for Bachelor of Design Courses

From 2025,all undergraduate students in design at the University of Melbournewill beguaranteed admission to the master's program corresponding to their undergraduate major without submitting a portfolio or personal statement.

To be eligible for the guarantee, students must achieve a 65% average (WAM) in the Bachelor of Design program to advance to the master's program.

Majors and their corresponding master's degrees include

• Bachelor of Design (Architecture) into Master of Architecture (200 points)
• Bachelor of Design (Construction Management) into Master of Construction Management (200 points)
• Bachelor of Design (Landscape Architecture) into Master of Landscape Architecture (200 points)
• Bachelor of Design (Construction Management) into Master of Construction Management (200 points)
• Bachelor of Design (Property) into Master of Property (200 points)
• Bachelor of Design (Urban Planning) into Master of Urban Planning (200 points)
• Students need to apply for admission within 12 months of graduation to guarantee a place

1 Completed Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia (only applicable to ATAR-based guarantees).

2 Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the University of Melbourne immediately after completing Year 12, or received a deferral from the University of Melbourne (only applicable to ATAR-based guarantee programs)

3 Meet the course prerequisites.

* Students transferring from other universities are not eligible for the guarantee.

* Current students at the University of Melbourne are still eligible for this guarantee.
