Why do you want to learn English?
I have always been self-studying English, but the actual results are not that good. I am excited to improve my English through such a course and with the help of teachers. Living in Australia, at first, I didn't understand what they were saying, but after listening more, I can understand more.
What do you thinkabout Australia and Curtin University?
I have been to Perth before and really liked it; the friends here are cool! I can meet many students from different backgrounds here, and the Curtin University campus is large, with a very beautiful environment!
Can you easily understand what Australians are saying?
No, it's hard to understand, sometimes I don't know what they're saying. Sosometimes I just stand there, listening to them talk to my brother, and then I ask my brother what they are saying. I hope I can understand what they are saying.

How is your English now?
I feel more confident speaking English now.Ten weeks ago, I was very afraid to communicate with people, not just afraid of speaking English, but also of listening. I was worried I wouldn't understand and would have to ask repeatedly what they were saying. But now, understanding their conversations is easier.
What have you learned?
InELBcourse, I improved my speaking and learned many writing skills, as well as reading skills, including how to skim and find answers.At first, I was afraid to communicate with strangers, but now it's different, I'm more confident. Initially, my English vocabulary wasn't large enough, and when communicating with friends, I needed them to explain what they were saying, but now I feel much better!
What do you like most about this course?
I think it's speaking. Yes, because I am a talkative person, I like communicating with different people.
After 10 weeks of study, what score would you give yourself now?
Now I want to give myself an 8 out of 10.
Are you more confident about starting your main course now?
Very confident about entering my main course! Because this (Curtin English) course has helped me a lot, improving my English skills.
