Practice-based courses

Studying at Griffith Law School, you will engage in legal practice from the first year. Throughhandling real cases and policy issues in moot courts, court visits, industry networking, and legal clinics at local, national, and international levels, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the law, and also have the opportunity to participate in the Griffith Legal Clinic project,one of the most extensive internship programs offered by Australian law schools, including the Innocence Project, etc.

If you are a high school graduate, you can study the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) program at Griffith University with yourcollege entrance examination results.





This program can train you to become a registered solicitor or barrister, or work in law-related fields.The program teaches law and ethics, legal theory, indigenous issues, and international issues, in addition to legal courses in areas including crime, contracts, property and corporate law, torts, and legal theory.


The program is recognized by the Queensland Law Society (QLS). During the study period, students are provided with a variety of real practice opportunities.The program also offers double degree programs in law and criminology, business, environmental science, psychology, literature, etc.,allowing students to expand knowledge and skills in multiple fields simultaneously.

Juris Doctor (JD)

JURIS DOCTOR


This is a master's program in law specifically designed for students without relevant background.If you do not have a Bachelor of Laws degree, or studied law courses under a non-Australian legal system during your undergraduate studies, choosing our Juris Doctor (JD) program will enable you to understand the basics of the Australian legal system and obtain the qualifications to enter the legal industry here.





This program not only teaches knowledge in legal and ethical, legal theory, crime, contracts, property and corporate law, torts, and legal theory, but also offers a wide range of elective courses, allowing you to study Canadian law, international law, or immigration law according to personal interests.


After graduation, you have the opportunity to become a lawyer, and may also find career opportunities in academia, politics, banking, finance, labor relations, management, and marketing.

In this program, you will explore important legal topics such as international human rights and environmental issues, cross-border negotiations, transactions and disputes, and the development of international public law, learning how to gain a competitive advantage in fields that require international law talents, such as law, business, civil society, government, engineering, and others, based on existing knowledge and experience.

Master of Financial Crime Investigation and Compliance

MASTER OF
FINANCIAL CRIME INVESTIGATION
AND COMPLIANCE


According to data from the World Economic Forum, financial crime and money laundering worldwide cause losses of more than $1.45 trillion to businesses, governments, and individuals. To combat financial crime and reduce financial risks, countries need professional legal talents in this field.This program will take you through local and global financial regulations, as well as the skills needed to investigate improper or illegal use of funds.


After graduation, you will have the opportunity to become a financial crime analyst, forensic accountant, anti-financial crime specialist, anti-money laundering specialist, anti-terrorism financing specialist, risk management officer, etc.
