The University of Sydney

Please check the updates from the University of Sydney for April 2024.

Due to some students being unable to obtain visas in time to arrive in Australia and start their studies before the semester begins, the University of Sydney has updated the admission processing dates. Please inform your students of the following information. From today onwards, all students holding an unconditional international offer for S2 2024 will have a deadline to accept their offer.

  • Non-quota degreeshave an admission deadline of June 28, 2024.

  • Quota degreeshave an admission deadlinethat will be listed in the offer letter or communicated via email and will not be changed.

  • **Holders of unconditional offers need to accept their offer and make payment by the date specified in the offer letter, otherwise their offer will be withdrawn.

Please check the following deadlines:

Note: CET and USFP packaged conditional offers are not affected by these dates as they have already obtained visas.

Please remember, students currently studying at the University of Sydney or other Australian universities who wish to start postgraduate courses at our university in the second semester can use the Onshore Special Admission Process (OSAP), which allows them to receive an unconditional offer based on their penultimate semester results.

Please refer to the OSAP guidelines below (OSAP guidelines). If your students wish to use this process, please have them fill out the form and apply as soon as possible, which will allow more time for them to apply for a new student visa.

To assist onshore students (including those currently studying at our university) in obtaining OSAP, we have extended theOSAP application deadline to May 24, 2024.

Please note, this extension applies only to the Onshore Special Admission Process (OSAP),and not to other Special Admission Process (SAP) programs.

We also take this opportunity to reiterate that if the purpose of a student's travel is to study, the university strongly advises students not to first apply for a tourist visa to come to Australia. International students enrolled at the university must hold a valid visa and have the right to study throughout their course, otherwise they may not continue their registration.
