UOW College Australia

On March 10th local time in the United States, it was the big day of the 96th Academy Awards ceremony. The movie 'Oppenheimer' swept seven major awards at the Oscars, becoming the biggest winner. Among them, Cillian Murphy won his first Oscar for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in 'Oppenheimer' on his first nomination. Behind the honor is actually 30 years of silent dedication, and it was only through his sixth collaboration with Nolan that he finally became the leading actor in 'Oppenheimer'.

Murphy's achievement is undoubtedly inspiring, but it also illustrates the various possibilities of a former non-lead actor becoming an Oscar winner. Among the many alumni of the University of Wollongong (UOW), there are many very promising star alumni, some of whom have also participated in many famous movies or TV series, and perhaps one day they will also appear at the awards ceremony.
