To enjoy live performances, head to the Canberra Theatre Centre (Canberra Theatre Centre).Rock, classical music, comedy, Shakespeare, dance, drama—if it's a touring show, it will appear at Canberra's premier performance center.


The Canberra Theatre Centre, located in Civic Square, focuses on performing arts, with a rich variety of performances to meet the aesthetic needs of audiences of all ages. It has three performance venues, including the Canberra Theatre with a capacity of 1,239, The Playhouse with 614, and the Courtyard Studio, a small rehearsal and performance space with 92 seats.


Additionally, there are occasional performances by respected actors and performing arts organizations here, including the Sydney Theatre Company (Sydney Theatre Company) and the Australian Ballet (Australian Ballet).
