SummerTech LIVEprogram,
provides paid internship opportunities for IT students,
and promotes the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the use of
emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
What is the SummerTech LIVE program?
SummerTech LIVEis an initiative by the Victorian government, launched through the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, aimed at enhancing the digital capabilities of SMEs.
SummerTech LIVE offers a $5,000 scholarship to university students majoring in IT-related fields, enabling them to participate in project work at partner companies for 10-12 weeks.For students, this is a rare practical opportunity to utilize their knowledge and skills during the summer vacation, participate in real industry projects, and help businesses solve real problems.
Students gain paid internship opportunities across various industries
Through SummerTech LIVE,16 of our students have participated in practical opportunities in industries such as sustainable development, education, real estate, and multimedia.
These projects are initiated by companies seeking to collaborate with Torrens University students majoring in IT-related fields, with each project consisting of a team of 2 students, each receiving $5,000 in financial support.
Some of our students' projects include:
Creating interactive chatbots for clients
Building 3D virtual reality models to educate about swimming water safety
Establishing a game-centered learning system for an educational company using virtual reality and artificial intelligence
Enhancing user experience by providing personalized content recommendations for a company similar to a small Netflix, utilizing artificial intelligence, automation, and software programming…
