WollongongUniversity's Year of the Dragon Celebration
Time: February 9th, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (local time)
Location: UOW Campus Duck Pond Lawn Area
On New Year's Eve, the school has prepared a series of celebration activities, including wonderful performances and interactive programs, as well as free food and drinks. This is a great opportunity to experience the school's multiculturalism, promote Chinese traditional culture, let more foreign students learn about Chinese traditional culture and customs, and celebrate this important festival with them in a foreign land, which will be a very special experience.

Wollongong Lunar New Year Celebration
Time: February 15th, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (local time)
Location: Crown Street Mall Stage
This event is a large-scale Lunar New Year celebration held in Wollongong City. You can enjoy many wonderful street performances and a variety of street food. The detailed event introduction is as follows:
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Crown Street Markets
6:30 - 7 PM & 7:30 - 8 PM:Traditional Chinese Lion Dance Performance, three colorful traditional lion dances, the God of Wealth, and a very atmospheric folk band performance will take turns to perform
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM:DJ interaction to hype up the whole venue, and you can also request songs on the spot

UOW students should not miss this large-scale celebration of the Year of the Dragon carnival in Wollongong.


If students want to experience a stronger atmosphere of the Year of the Dragon, they can take a ride for about1and a half hours to Sydney.
