Introduction
The Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting provides an introduction to the fundamentals of accounting, microeconomics, business law and management information systems, all at commencing higher education level. Graduates of this course will understand the accounting practice environment and possess the foundation level skills needed to proceed towards becoming accounting professionals.The Certificate course is equivalent to the first semester of an undergraduate degree course in Professional Accounting major, and therefore provides a pathway to further studies. Students who successfully complete it may apply for credit for a first semester of study in the EEI Bachelor of Business if they wish to enrol in these degree programs. Alternatively, successful students could progress into a Diploma of Business and, upon its successful completion, may apply to be admitted directly into the second year of Bachelor of Business.[106427C]
