By pursuing a Master of Professional Engineering with Monash, you join a talented and diverse community of ambitious engineering graduates. You build on your undergraduate experience, or change direction, by choosing from among the course's five engineering specialisations: chemical, civil, electrical, materials and mechanical. This gives you the opportunity to pursue your interests and career goals, and to deepen your knowledge through professional core units and advanced technical electives in your chosen area.The course outlines how economic, social, ethical and environmental considerations impact professional practice. You learn how to apply your engineering knowledge to managing projects in an intercultural and multidisciplinary business environment. And you expand your critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork and communication skills – all of which will sharpen your edge in the global workforce.In preparation to be a professional engineer, you explore the contemporary and complex global issues affecting organisations. You also learn to perform data analysis on industrial scenarios and make recommendations that support business growth. Outside the classroom, you complete a Continuous Professional Development unit.You are required to complete a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) unit.
