Introduction
Mechanical engineers work at the forefront of technological innovations and are largely responsible for many advancements that improve our lives. The career prospects for graduates in this field are robust – Australian engineering job vacancies have hit a 10-year high; and in India and China, growth is expected to exceed more than 20 million new engineers over the next decade. The Master of Engineering (Professional) in Mechanical Engineering is uniquely focused on developing the professional competencies required to work as an engineer in Australia and abroad. Through a blend of theory, practical applications and hands-on projects, you’ll develop a deep understanding of the principles, theories and applications that drive modern mechanical engineering. You’ll also develop capabilities in leadership, ethics, and workplace health and safety, so that you’re well-prepared to drive innovation within your organisation. This degree is seeking accreditation with Engineers Australia, which will enable entry to professional engineering practice for bachelor graduates who don’t have Washington Accord accreditation status.

The school's visa assessment level determines the risk level for students applying for a visa and is a significant reference.

For example, if a school's visa assessment level is 2, the applicant will face more restrictions and be required to provide more written evidence, such as proof of language proficiency and financial capacity.
