On completion of the proposed course, learners will have participated in and achieved a level of advanced Talmudic study not available at secondary school. In addition to the educational need, the course outcomes provide participants with the background and a breadth of knowledge and skills in the study and understanding of Talmud, application of Jewish laws and philosophy to enable them to become leaders in Jewish society. These could lead to and may be used in a variety of vocational outcomes, such as Jewish Studies Teacher, Outreach Worker, Student Counsellor, Youth Activities Director, Chaplain, or other religious functionary. It also provides a possible first stage in the pathway towards a career as a Rabbi.
