Scholarship
The Tasmanian International Scholarship is assessed on academic merit and provides eligible international students with a 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for the duration of their course. All international students who submit an International Student Application Form to study an undergraduate degree (except the Bachelor of Medicine and Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Dementia Nursing and AMC Nautical Program)
The Family Alumni Bursary provides international students who have a parent, sibling or sibling who has studied at the University of Tasmania or currently studies at the University of Tasmania with a 10% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of their course. Students must be able to prove that they have a parent or sibling who has studied at the University of Tasmania or currently studies at the University of Tasmania. Students must also attach the following certified documents with their application to prove their eligibility for the Family Alumni Bursary: 1. Applicant’s birth certificate (original and English translation) 2. Siblings’ birth certificates (original and English translation) 3. Applicant’s passport (personal data) page 4. Parents’ passport (personal data) page 5. Student ID or proof of enrolment 6. Adoption certificate (only required if applicable)
This package offers up to 20 weeks of free English language courses to international students who need to complete a course to meet English language entry requirements before commencing degree study. To qualify for the discount you must: 1. be an international student as defined under the University of Tasmania’s rules 2. have received an offer to study English for Academic Purposes for a full-time course place; 3. will commence an English course (any English course study period) in 2024.
