Introduction
Registered nurses play an important role in the healthcare system and are involved in a range of activities that are designed to provide care of people with acute, chronic and complex health conditions. Registered nurses are integral in the treatment of people, families, communities, and populations.You will have opportunities to apply theory to practice in modern simulated supported learning environments, prior to undertaking workplace experience. During the course you will attend 21 weeks of workplace experience in hospitals, aged care, and community facilities. This will immerse you in the field of nursing where you will care for people, putting into practice what you have learned in simulated tutorials.You will evaluate and apply concepts drawn from nursing theory and research to professional practice. You will also develop an increased awareness of the effects of cultural, social, economic, legal and ethical influences on the development of the nursing profession and knowledge that will enable you to accept responsibility for more complex client management.UOW nursing graduates enjoy excellent employment prospects with 93.1% in full-time employment within four months of graduating compared to the national average of 80.1%. Source: QILTStudents who successfully complete the Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121 or HLT54115) are eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Nursing via UOW Apply Online, or the Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses – HLT54121 or HLT54115 Dip Nursing Entry) via UAC. Applicants must have completed an approved and accredited Diploma of Nursing - HLT54121 or HLT54115 and hold a current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). If these conditions are met and admission is approved, students may be awarded 48 credit points towards the Bachelor of Nursing (second year entry).

School review: The Department of Education recommends schools based on the student's situation, and the school arranges an interview after its review.
Interview notification: An email will specify the interview time, method (usually Zoom or Teams), and preparation details.
Interview content: A conversation in English including self-introduction, interests, academic situation, future plans, and a comprehensive assessment of learning habits, adaptability, reasons for coming to Australia, etc. The duration is approximately 15-30 minutes.

Submit School Application

Submit supplementary documents as required and track the admission progress (Conditional/Unconditional Offer).
After meeting the conditions, pay the tuition deposit and complete the acceptance procedure (Accept Offer).
