You can enjoy a hands-on learning experience and have the ability to study on-campus in a non-traditional format or by online study.You will have the opportunity to engage with practising engineers, work on industry-sponsored projects and access industry-based scholarship offered by some of Australia's leading companies. Nine weeks of industry placement during the course also allows you to apply your skills and increase your employability by gaining on-the-job experience.If you are interested in the aircraft maintenance (avionics) major, you will benefit from our partnership with Aviation Australia and an accelerated pathway to reach Licence Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) status in three years, usually requiring five years. The first two years of the course would cover all the competencies of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approved Aviation Australia Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Avionics or Mechanical) and foundations of professional engineering. You will study on-campus in the Aviation Australia Brisbane campus for the first 1.5 years and, upon completion, have the option to study the remainder of your course on campus at Rockhampton.
