Job Description
- Planning and coordinating the production and marketing of crops and livestock
- Breeding and raising livestock for the production of meat, wool, skins, milk or eggs, and growing grain, seed crops, vegetables, fruit or nuts
- Monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of livestock
- Providing pastures and fodder to maintain appropriate nutritional levels
- Selecting and purchasing seed for planting, planning and implementing breeding programs
- Directing and overseeing general farming activities such as fertilising, and pest and weed control
- Maintaining farm buildings, fences, equipment and water supply systems
- Organising the sale, purchase and transportation of livestock and produce
- Maintaining and evaluating records of farming activities, monitoring market activity and planning production accordingly
- Managing business capital, monitoring market activity and planning production accordingly
- May select, train and supervise staff and contractors

- Track the progress of your application and pay attention to its status;
- If additional documents are required, VETASSESS will send an email notification;
- After completing the skills assessment application, you can view the results and download the result letter in the VETASSESS online application system. A copy of the result letter will generally not be mailed to you unless you request it in the skills assessment application and pay the postage.
Skills Assessment RequirementsNote: If the applicant's work experience is pre-graduation experience, at least 5 years of highly relevant experience is required, and at least 1 year of work experience in the last 5 years must meet the corresponding technical requirements.
Academic Qualification Requirements
- 1. Possess a bachelor's degree or above, with a major highly related to the nominated occupation, and at least 1 year of work experience highly related to the nominated occupation in the past 5 years;
- 2. Possess a bachelor's degree or above, although the major of the bachelor's degree is not highly related to the nominated occupation, but also have a college degree that is highly related to the nominated occupation, and have at least 2 years of work experience that is highly related to the nominated occupation in the past 5 years;
- 3. Possess a bachelor's degree or above. Although the major of the bachelor's degree is not highly related to the nominated occupation, you must have at least 3 years of work experience highly related to the nominated occupation in the past 5 years.
