此要求将立即生效，适用于2025年第一学期的入学申请。

以下类别的申请人需要提交 真实学生声明（GS Statement of Purpose, SOP）：

1. 多次持有学生签证并有课程频繁更换记录的申请人
2. 目前持有即将到期的临时毕业生签证（485）或临时签证（408），并申请另一份学生签证的申请人
3. 当前持有485签证，但签证有效期不足以涵盖其拟在RMIT进行的学习时间的申请人
4. 从旅游签证过渡到学生签证的申请人
5. 学术进程未按预期顺序推进的申请人，例如从博士学位过渡到研究生文凭的情况

虽然对于非相关学科背景的学生不再强制要求提交GS SOP，但我们强烈建议申请人在其在线签证申请中清晰地阐明职业转型的理由，以支持其申请成功。

Update: Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Studies Applications

We are pleased to share an update to our requirements for onshore applicants to the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Studies (GD204) program, effective immediately for Semester 1, 2025 intake.

The following applicants will be required to provide a Genuine Student (GS) Statement of Purpose (SOP)

• Those who have multiple prior student visas with evidence of course hopping
• Who are currently holding a Temporary Graduate Visa (485) or Temporary Activity Visa (408) nearing expiration and are applying for another student visa
• Current 485 visa holders whose visa duration will not cover their proposed studies at RMIT
• Applicants transitioning from a tourist visa to a student visa
• Applicants who do not demonstrate expected sequencing of academic progression, such as transitioning from a PhD to a Graduate DiplomaWhile GS SOPs are no longer mandatory for students from non-cognate disciplines, we strongly encourage applicants to provide clear reasoning for their career transition in their online visa application to support their case.
