此要求將立即生效，適用於2025年第一學期的入學申請。

以下類別的申請人需要提交真實學生聲明（GS Statement of Purpose, SOP）：

1. 多次持有學生簽證並有課程頻繁更換記錄的申請人
2. 目前持有即將到期的臨時畢業生簽證（485）或臨時簽證（408），並申請另一份學生簽證的申請人
3. 當前持有485簽證，但簽證有效期不足以涵蓋其擬在RMIT進行的學習時間的申請人
4. 從旅遊簽證過渡到學生簽證的申請人
5. 學術進程未按預期順序推進的申請人，例如從博士學位過渡到研究生文憑的情況

雖然對於非相關學科背景的學生不再強制要求提交GS SOP，但我們強烈建議申請人在其線上簽證申請中清晰地闡明職業轉型的理由，以支持其申請成功。

Update: Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Studies Applications

We are pleased to share an update to our requirements for onshore applicants to the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Studies (GD204) program, effective immediately for Semester 1, 2025 intake.

The following applicants will be required to provide a Genuine Student (GS) Statement of Purpose (SOP)

• Those who have multiple prior student visas with evidence of course hopping
• Who are currently holding a Temporary Graduate Visa (485) or Temporary Activity Visa (408) nearing expiration and are applying for another student visa
• Current 485 visa holders whose visa duration will not cover their proposed studies at RMIT
• Applicants transitioning from a tourist visa to a student visa
• Applicants who do not demonstrate expected sequencing of academic progression, such as transitioning from a PhD to a Graduate DiplomaWhile GS SOPs are no longer mandatory for students from non-cognate disciplines, we strongly encourage applicants to provide clear reasoning for their career transition in their online visa application to support their case.
