In celebration of women's achievements in business and entrepreneurship, AustCham China and the Australian Embassy have invited Marita Cheng AM (Order of Australia) as our esteemed guest to Opposite House Beijing, where she will share her experience as a successful tech entrepreneur; scroll for Marita's biography.

The event will be held on the evening of 13 March. Sign-in will begin at 7:00 PM, with dinner at 7:30 PM. The dinner will be served with salad starters, soup, and desserts; guests will have the option to select red meat or fish as their main course.

Seats are limited, and members are encouraged to register early through our events page or QR code.

About Marita Cheng 曹麗君女士簡介

Marita Cheng is a technology entrepreneur and women in technology advocate. She has held numerous accolades including Forbes' World's Top 50 Women In Tech in 2018, Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2016, and Young Australian of the Year in 2012.

Marita is an industry leader and innovator. Sheis the founder and CEO of Aubot (formerly 2Mar Robotics), which specializes in telepresence robots. Their newest model, Teleport, aids the sick and elderly in work, education, and security. It also socializes!

Robogals, on the other hand, was founded by Marita in university. It is a student-led organization encouraging and fostering female participation in engineering and beyond; with 32 chapters, it has now expanded throughout 11 different countries across 5 continents.

Marita also cofounded Aipoly, an application that recognizes objects in real time on a smartphone using convolutional neural networks and relays them to people who are visually impaired.
