This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, and skills to perform the following functions associated with the role of an actor:
* communicate a character and/or situation to an audience through speech, body language and movement
* interpret work of a writer under instruction and supervision of a director
* devise a character
* improvise the reactions of a character to a situation
* prepare for and attend auditions
* research and undertake activities to prepare for a part
* discuss interpretation and delivery with other members of the company and director
* perform for a live audience
* perform in a studio or 'on location' for film, television, internet and radio broadcasts
* do voice overs for advertisements and recording audio books.
