詳細解答

The steps involved in each pathway for a Chef assessment are:

  • Provisional Skills Assessment (PSA): This is typically a paper-based assessment of your identity, Australian qualification, and evidence of employment or job offer. You register through the TRA Online Portal, upload evidence, and submit.

  • Job Ready Program (JRP): This program has four steps:

    1. Job Ready Employment (JRE): You register your employment through the TRA Online Portal, provide an Employment Verification Report (EVR) and pay evidence. This step takes at least 6 months of full-time equivalent employment from your JRE Start Date.
    2. Job Ready Workplace Assessment (JRWA): After undertaking a minimum of 6 months full-time employment from your JRE Start Date, and meeting eligibility, you will be invited to apply for this assessment. An assessor conducts a workplace assessment focusing on your skills through a technical interview and observation.
    3. Job Ready Final Assessment (JRFA): After achieving a successful JRWA outcome and completing a minimum of 12 months of full-time paid employment, you will be invited to apply for the JRFA, which is a final review to issue the full skills assessment outcome letter.
  • Migration Skills Assessment (MSA): This is usually a paper-based documentary assessment of your qualifications and extensive employment evidence. You register through the TRA Online Portal, upload all required documents, and submit.

  • Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP) & Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) Skills Assessment Program: These programs typically involve two stages, managed by a TRA-approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO):

    1. Documentary Evidence Assessment: You select an RTO, register through the TRA Online Portal, and upload documentary evidence of your identity, skills, and employment experience to the RTO.
    2. Technical Skills Assessment: If successful in the documentary stage, you will be invited to participate in a technical assessment, which involves a technical interview and, in some cases, a practical assessment (though for non-licensed trades like Chef, a practical assessment is not explicitly compulsory). You will need to engage with a TRA-approved RTO and obtain an RTO Assessment Payment Identifier Code before registering and making the first payment through the TRA Online Portal.
