Through this approach we will help your child to reach their full potential whilst developing self-esteem and an appreciation for the needs of others.
The Learning Program
Mountain View Adventist College endeavours to maintain small class sizes so that the quality of education received by our students is kept at a consistently high level. By streaming classes for Literacy our advanced students are able to accelerate, while at the same time we can provide learning support where it is needed. The students at Mountain View Adventist College demonstrate a high level of competence in basic skills, indicated by standardised test results and awards in academic competitions. LOTE (Languages Other Than English) is part of the curriculum. We have well-resourced classrooms, a library and a computer laboratory to provide ideal learning environments and allow your child to develop the expertise needed for today?s world.
In our Junior school Mountain View Adventist College has a special class for independent learners (Gateway). Gateway is a Grade 2 to 4 class that consists of high academic students selected by teachers according to their academic abilities and work ethic and ensures students are able to learn at a standard that caters to their individual learning ability.
At Mountain View Adventist College we value creativity. This is fostered and affirmed in our art and music programs. Students can be part of the school band, or choir, as well as having the opportunity for individual music tuition.
An active lifestyle is an important part of our school program. Our daily PE program fosters consistent fitness and our students benefit from the expertise of specialist instructors in gymnastics, athletics and swimming. The annual Swimming and Athletics Carnivals at Mountain View Adventist College are great events for uniting school and family, and our ASISSA membership (All Suburbs Independent Schools Sporting Association) gives our students the challenge of inter-school competition.
