Fudan Institute on Networking Systems of AI (NSAI) was founded in May 2020 in Fudan University, Shanghai, China, aiming at the global frontier research on the convergence of AI computing and networking. In NSAI, distributed artificial intelligence becomes immersive in all elements of the network, i.e., cloud, edge, terminal devices, which makes AI virtually operating as a networking system. At the same time, the network is becoming a service-specific system interweaved with AI. With the world-wide development of B5G ecosystem, the Fudan Institute on NSAI is dedicated to the inter-disciplinary researches that can be presenting the next generation of both AI systems and telecommunication networks. The Institute currently has about 15 faculty members (including joint-appointments), with the goal to grow into 60-80 faculty members within 3 years.


The founding director of the institute, Prof. Song Liang, is a world leading researcher and engineer in the areas of distributed AI and mobile communications, with numerous distinguished and adjunct appointments, e.g., Chief Expert of Shanghai Industrial Technology Institute, Professor of the University of Toronto (Canada), Standing Director of Shanghai Pudong IoT Alliance, Chairman of Shanghai 5G-VR Industrial Alliance, among others. He also sits in board of numerous high technology companies globally in his areas. Prof. Liang Song is a Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering, and also a Fellow of Chinese National Distinguished Experts.

Job Vacancy


Tenured Full Professors/ Research Fellows/Tenured Associated Professors

  1. Comparable working experience in top universities or research institutes;

  2. Good academic training and research background;

  3. Strong ability of independent research and high academic attainments.

Successful candidates are offered with highly competitive salary, start-up funds and subsidized housing. The compensation benefits of top talents can be negotiated individually. Bilateral contractual employment can be available.

Tenure-track Faculties Positions for Young Talents

  1. Age is preferred under 35 years old;

  2. Holding PhD degree from renowned universities or research institutes;

  3. Post-doctoral research experiences are preferred

  4. Having the potential to obtain remarkable achievements in specific research areas.

Successful candidates are offered with sufficient research funds from the institute, and competitive salary packages are provided.

Super Postdoctoral Fellows

Successful candidates are offered with:

  1. Postdoctoral Innovation Talents Support Program: over 400,000 RMB per year;

  2. Postdoctoral International Exchange Program: 380,000 RMB- 400,000 RMB per year;

  3. Shanghai Super Postdoctoral Program: 280,000 RMB- 300,000 RMB per year;

  4. Fudan University Super Postdoctoral Program: 230,000 RMB- 280,000 RMB per year.

Full-time Postdoctoral Fellows

  3. Great potentials in specific research area.

Successful candidates are offered with 180,000 RMB- above 200,000 RMB per year.

复旦大学智联网络与系统研究中心(Fudan Institute on Networking Systems of AI)成立于2020年5月。中心围绕智联网络体系架构及通信技术发展的前沿、共性需求,开展5G-6G通信与新一代人工智能创新融合生成的万物智联(智联网络)生态系统的研究,以实现移动计算与通信融合的重大科学技术创新为目标,借助移动通信系统的演进,引领全球范围内智联网络系统的研发与转化。目前,研究中心约有15位教职人员(含双聘),预计未来三年内增加到60-80名。

复旦大学智联网络与系统研究中心创始主任,加拿大国家工程院院士,中国特聘专家,博士生导师。宋梁教授是分布式人工智能和移动通信领域的世界级的研究者和工程师,同时兼任多项重要职务,例如上海产业技术研究院首席科学家,加拿大多伦多大学教授,上海浦东物联网创新应用联盟常务理事,上海5G云VR产业联盟理事长等。此外,他还担任了全球多家科技企业的董事会成员。
