Dear Students,

We know that many of you will have questions and concerns over the coming days, and although we don’t have all the answers, we want to ensure you receive the most critical information.

There are seven things we want you to know today:

1）Our campuses remain fully operational, and in the event of any campus closures, we are well equipped to support your learning needs and wellbeing. We will continue to assess this decision in light of unfolding developments and guidance from public health agencies.

2）Please regularly visit our website, where we have extensive information about COVID-19 to help answer your questions.

3）We will write regularly to you, so please check your e-mail inboxes regularly.

4）If you have questions or concerns, you should immediately share them with us.

5）Be mindful that there is misinformation circulating online and in other public forums. Our commitment is to ensure we communicate the best advice and information to you promptly. We urge you not to share unverified information, and instead to keep your eye on your university e-mail inbox, on our website, and government advice.

6）All prevailing health and wellbeing advice for students remains.  All of this can be accessed from our website, including FAQs and general information.

7）Finally, I want you to know that we have a dedicated team of staff who have been working for several weeks to ensure we are prepared for any extraordinary situation. Our aim is always to ensure minimal disruption for you and your studies, moreover, the best possible environment to protect the safety of our staff and students.

Every decision we make is informed by the most reliable information from the Australian and New Zealand Governments, and we are in regular contact with health authorities.

We know the uncertainty of this situation is challenging for everyone in different ways. Our goal is that you will be able to focus on your studies, your work, your wellness and your life, and we will provide the support and resources to protect you, and our entire community.
