  • 有更充足的时间申请签证;

(Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience)

As we move towards Semester 1, 2026 Enrolment opening (in late November) we thought it timely to share a series of important updates with all our valued partners. Your continued support plays a vital role in our shared success, and we’re truly grateful for the collaboration and commitment you bring to our community.

General Information

Reminder for all partners to ensure visa success:

When working with your clients please remind them to

  1. Declare any visa refusal history, including refusal, cancellation and overstay from Australia or any other country at the beginning of their process.
  2. Remind your clients to notify you of the above information if it happens after the application was submitted or even after the offer has been issued.
  3. Advise your clients that if they are required by the DHA to provide evidence of English language proficiency that meets the requirements specified in a legislative instrument, they will need to do so even if they met the University’s English requirements based on their previous studies. If students cannot arrange for an English test within the required timeframe, they should request an extension of time through ImmiAccount and provide evidence of what steps have been taken to obtain the required information, such as a payment receipt or booking confirmation.

Postgraduate Course Availability

While the majority of our postgraduate courses still have places available for the S1 2026 intake, we strongly encourage your students to proactively progress their applications and accept any unconditional offers as soon as possible to secure their place for S1 2026.

Most of our postgraduate programs remain open and accepting students for Semester 1, 2026 with rolling offers, so please continue your efforts managing PG applications for your clients.

We would like to remind you that the programs listed below are high-demand and are approaching full capacity. We may continue to release unconditional offers in rounds, as places become available, based on academic merit ranking. Students who become eligible for an unconditional offer in any of these programs will be placed on a waitlist, with offers released during scheduled offer rounds.

If your students have applied to one of the below listed programs and have not yet received an outcome, please be assured that their applications are still under active consideration and will be reviewed in line with available capacity.

Postgraduate Special Admissions Process

We would like to remind you that the University offers a range of special admissions processes for students seeking unconditional offers based on their penultimate semester results. This process enables eligible students to receive an early unconditional offer, allowing ample time to apply for their visa and prepare for their arrival and commencement of studies.

We encourage you to share this option with your students so they can benefit from the opportunity to receive an earlier offer and have a smoother transition into their studies with us. This includes students studying at the University of Sydney or other Australian universities too, so it allows them to better plan their postgraduate studies with us.

To apply for this process, please refer to the information sheet and submit the completed request form along with the required documents through the portal.

Courses Under Review for 2026

Postgraduate Coaching Psychology

The Faculty of Science is currently reviewing the on-campus study mode for the postgraduate degrees and is not processing applications for Semester 1, 2026 at this stage. We expect to provide you with a further update in early November. The distance mode is still open and offers can be released.

Whilst on-campus is under review, if your students have applied for the on-campus study mode but would like their application to be considered for the distance mode, please let us know so we can update their application.

In addition, the Faculty of Science is also reviewing the Graduate Diploma in Coaching Psychology, and applications for Semester 1, 2026 are not currently being processed.

We will keep you informed of any changes as soon as further information becomes available.

Admissions Requirement Updates - Master of Economic Analysis and Its Embedded Courses

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences has recently completed a review of the admission requirements for the Master of Economic Analysis (including its nested courses). The updated requirements have been published on the Sydney Course page and will take effect from the date of publication (11 Sep 2025). Applications submitted on or after 11 September, will be assessed under these updated requirements.

Undergraduate Course Availability

A number of undergraduate courses are reaching capacity. As such, we encourage applicants to accept their offers as soon as they are received and within the stated deadline. For courses that are reaching capacity, applicants are placed on a waitlist for any places that become available, and offers are released in rounds.

Students who have applied for credit should contact the Credit Team and request to cancel their credit application in order to be able to accept their offer. They can then reapply for credit as a student once they have accepted their offer, this will allow them to secure their place.

Undergraduate - Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience

The Faculty of Science is currently reviewing the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience work placement hours, and this could lead to changes within the degree.

As a result, we are placing all applications for 2027 intake on hold until we receive further information from the faculty. We will provide further information once we receive updates from the Faculty of Science.

Undergraduate - Bachelor of Oral Health Change

As previously communicated, the University of Sydney has recently undertaken a review of the Bachelor of Oral Health program. Following this review, updates have been made to the work-integrated learning component hours and the designated teaching locations associated with the degree (CRICOS code: 072495J).

We’ve reviewed the hours attributed to work integrated learning (WIL), including the work component and simulations in classrooms. We have now adjusted the hours referenced in our course materials from 1500 hours (all WIL) to 1032 hours (work component-only).

The overall hours of WIL are not reducing, this remains 1500. However, this adjustment more clearly distinguishes the hours of work-based experience (being the work component, 1032 hours) that our students undertake through clinical placement hours to other WIL learning experiences, such as simulations (which are not considered to be the same as the work component).

The clinical placement hours are required to meet the necessary competency and standard requirements for accreditation with the Australian Dental Council. The hours of WIL will continue to be delivered as planned through simulations and other WIL experiences that are not defined as the work component.

In addition, we have adjusted the teaching location to reflect the Camperdown and Darlington campus where we teach our students alongside of the Westmead campus.

In light of these changes, followed by a formal communication, the Admissions team has issued updated offer letters to all affected applicants and their respective agents.

Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please reach out to your Regional Manager.
